Zijian Hu

Zijian Hu's musical journey commenced at the age of six, where an initial encounter with music ignited a lifelong passion. By the age of ten, under parental guidance, Hu began delving into the intricacies of solfege, ear-training, and music theory.

Throughout Hu's formative years, involvement in numerous musical activities became a cornerstone of their musical development. Achievements such as attaining a level 4 certificate in vocal proficiency during the summer of 2017 and subsequently securing level 5 in vocal proficiency and level D in music theory during the winter of the same year underscored their dedication and aptitude.

The summer of 2018 marked a pivotal moment as Hu embarked on piano grading tests at level 1 and achieved level 6 in vocal proficiency. Concurrently, participation in their high school band and elective choir course showcased their commitment to collaborative musical endeavors.

Venturing further into their musical odyssey, Hu seized an opportunity to enrich their musical acumen at Berklee College of Music in Boston through a summer program. It was during this period that Hu's artistic horizons expanded, nurturing a deeper understanding of musical innovation and exploration.

Beyond musical pursuits, Hu also demonstrated a keen interest in social issues, particularly environmental advocacy. Recognizing the potential of music as a medium for social change, Hu aimed to integrate their passion for music with environmental activism, viewing both as complementary avenues for promoting awareness and action.
