Xujia Liu
Xujia Liu embarked on her musical voyage at the age of four in 2011, immersing herself in the intricacies of the erhu at the Youth Activity Center in Putuo District, Shanghai. Her musical prowess blossomed throughout their formative years, spanning from 2015 to 2018.
During this time, Xujia Liu's dedication to the erhu saw her actively contributing to the folk orchestra of Xuhui District Youth Activity Center, establishing herself as a formidable presence within Shanghai's musical landscape. Transitioning into middle school, from 2018 to 2020, she continued to flourish musically, seamlessly integrating into both the Symphony Orchestra at the Fourth Affiliated High School of Shanghai Huashi University and the Folk Orchestra at the Little Friends Art Troupe of the China Welfare Association Youth Palace.
In 2021, Xujia Liu marked a significant milestone in her musical journey by captivating audiences as a double bassist in the "Always Turning Towards the Party with One Heart Dreaming for a New Era - China Welfare Society Children's Palace Little Friends Art Troupe Concert." Her commanding performance at the prestigious Shanghai Oriental Art Center showcased her versatility and artistry, leaving an indelible impression on all in attendance.
In 2023 she had the distinct honor of participating in the monumental 50th Anniversary of the Philadelphia Orchestra's visit to China. Taking their place among musical luminaries at the Marble Building of the China Welfare Institute Children's Palace, Xujia Liu's virtuosity on the double bass enriched the collaborative renditions of "Deep Night" and "The Moon Represents My Heart," underscoring their status as a rising star in the global musical landscape.
