Ling Lo
Ling Lo currently serves as staff pianist at Saginaw Valley State University. As an active pianist, Dr. Lo has been invited as a guest artist to present duo recitals at several universities including Purdue University Fort Wayne, Olivet College, Saginaw Valley State University, the University of Louisville, SUNY Potsdam, Schenectady County Community College, and the University of Kentucky. Additionally, Dr. Lo has served as a festival pianist for the Mid-West Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference, Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival, Henri Selmer Summer Clarinet Festival, The Potsdam Clarinet Summit, the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference, and served as program assistant for Encore Festival in Italy. Prior to SVSU, Dr. Lo served as adjunct instructor at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music. In 2021 Dr. Lo joined the piano faculty at New England Music Camp, as well as the Flint Institute of Music.
During the summer from 2015 to 2019, Dr. Lo participated in “Celebrating of Spectrum: A Festival for Music and Life” as program assistant, a program for young autistic pianists, sponsored by Michigan State University and the RAIND program. She had the opportunity to present research from this experience at the DOCTRID and MTNA conferences located in Ireland and Texas. Dr. Lo holds degrees from Michigan State University (D.M.A Piano Performance/M.M. Collaborative Piano), Boston University (M.M. Piano Performance), and Soochow University (B.M. Music Performance). She is currently completing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano at Michigan State University. Her teachers include Deborah Moriarty, Zhihua Tang, Pavel Nersessian, Konstantinos Papadakis, and Li-Hui Chen
