Xingtong Yuan
Xingtong Yuan is a dedicated musician whose journey in the world of music began at the age of six with the piano. Although there was a brief hiatus in her musical pursuits, Xingtong resumed their piano studies, accumulating a decade of experience thus far.
Expanding her musical horizons, Xingtong delved into African percussion at the age of twelve, further diversifying her musical skills by learning the viola and guitar at fifteen. While the viola was mastered through formal instruction, Xingtong independently honed their guitar skills by leveraging online resources.
Currently enrolled in high school in Canada, Xingtong has been offered a position to pursue music production at JHU, a testament to her dedication and talent.
Xingtong's musical achievements include notable accolades such as securing first prize in piano at the ACE RSC competition in 2017, followed by a commendable second place in the prestigious Chopin Piano Competition. Her musical prowess continued to shine as she clinched second place in the Chopin Competition once again in 2020, and in 2023, she attained second place in the highly regarded Liszt Cup Piano Competition. These achievements underscore Xingtong's commitment to excellence and passion for music.
