Galina Umanskaya
Galina Umanskaya, a pupil of the Moscow piano school, received her musical education from Dmitry Lyudkov, a professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. She continued her studies in London, where she graduated with first-class honours for her Bachelor's degree and was awarded the TCL Scholarship. Currently, Galina is pursuing a Master's degree at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under Mikhail Kazakevich.
She perfected her skills at master-classes given by outstanding musicians including Professors Margarita Fedorova and Dmitri Alexeev.
Galina is a laureate of international competitions in Spain, Russia, Hong-Kong, Germany, Turkey, Belorussia, South Korea.
The pianist has taken part in numerous music festivals in Russia, Spain and Greece, and has repeatedly collaborated with orchestras in the UK, Spain and Russia.
Music of various epochs and styles is presented in her repertoire, i.e, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Scriabin, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Messiaen.
