Chiara Schmidt
Chiara Schmidt was born in Milan in 1996. She started playing the piano at the age of 7 and three years later was accepted to the Conservatory "G. Verdi" of Milan in the class of Prof. Anna Abbate. She also attended regular lessons with Prof. Konstantin Bogino in Bergamo and Biella Music Academies.
After school, her musical path led her to Vienna, where she studied both piano and musicology. Thanks to an Erasmus grant, Chiara also had the opportunity to study under the guidance of Prof. Mats Widlund at Edsberg Academy (KMH) in Stockholm.
Chiara completed her master studies in October 2022 at University Mozarteum in Salzburg with Prof. Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch. She is currently attending a postgraduate course in Lied-duo under the guidance of Prof. Pauliina Tukiainen at the same University. Since September 2022 she has a full position as piano teacher at Musikum Salzburg Stadt.
Chiara has attended masterclasses with many renowned professors around Europe and has won several national and international prizes. She plays regularly in different venues, mainly in Italy, Austria and Germany and she has a special passion for the Chamber Music and the Lied Repertoire. In her free time, she is a passionate alpinist!
