Sherri Lun started learning piano at the age of 4; three years later, she was admitted to the Junior Music Program of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in both piano and viola. She is now studying with Prof. Christopher Elton at the Royal Academy of Music with a full-tuition scholarship supported by the Academy and the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme.

Sherri is a laureate of the Zhuhai Intl Mozart Competition for Young Musicians, the ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition, the Steinway and Sons International Youth Piano Competition (China), the Xinghai Cup Piano Competition, the Singapore International Piano Competition and the Chopin International Piano Competition in ASIA (Japan). She was a finalist of the Aarhus International Piano Competition and was recently the youngest semi-finalist of the 2022 Birmingham International Piano Competition. A winner of the Diocesan Girls’ School and the Hong Kong Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition, Sherri had several concerto performances in HK and Shenzhen. She was named 2020 Performing Artist of the Year by South China Morning Post as part of the Student of the Year Awards. As the winner of the 2022 Carles and Sofia Piano Competition, Sherri’s upcoming engagements include recitals across the UK, Spain, and her debut CD recording with KNS Classical.

At age 10, Sherri was selected as a Young Scholar of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation. After her concerto debut at the Ravinia Festival in 2013, she was invited to perform in Millennium Park (Chicago) and Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris). Since then, she performed in festivals including the Pianale International Piano Academy, Frost Chopin Academy, the International Summer Academy at Universitat Mozarteum Salzburg, and the Beijing International Music Festival. Artists she has played for include Gary Graffman, Arie Vardi, Philippe Entremont, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Imogen Cooper, Andrea Bonatta, Leslie Howard, Kevin Kenner, Dang Thai Son, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron, and Lang Lang.
