Samanza Hussain
Samanza Hussain is a Bangladeshi-Burmese pianist and composer based in Glasgow. She is pursuing her Masters at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Sinae Lee and Petras Geniušas.
Samanza enjoys a varied life as a chamber and solo musician with a keen interest in lesser-performed repertoire. She has participated in masterclasses with Artur Pizarro, Stephen Coombs and Robert Andres and performed in London, Madeira, Glasgow and Dhaka. Samanza explores the fascinating world of collaborative improvisation with her piano-voice duo under the guidance of David Dolan. She also recently collaborated with Fali Pavri in debuting a new composer’s work.
Samanza’s own electronic/noise piece was featured at a climate change concert that she curated with Max McWhirter. She is the recipient of the Macintyre Music Scholarship
