Mingyue Xu

Mingyue Xu is currently studying cello at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. As a cellist, she has participated in various events and concerts like The Locarno Masterclass Concerto in Switzerland in 2023, Youth Chinese and Western Instrument Exchange Concert in 2023, and Academy of Environmental Science Symphony Concert Night in 2021.

In 2018, Mingyue won the First Prize in the Chamber Music Group at Yangtze River Delta Youth Cello Art Week. In 2019, she won the First Prize in the Youth Category (Group E) at the Love International Music Competition. In 2021, she was awarded the Second Prize at the Milan International Cello Competition.

Mingyue has plays an arrangement of “Glaciers” from the Three Passions for our Tortured Planet suite. She notes: “In today's society, the seriousness of environmental deterioration is known to all mankind, and it is urgent to protect the environment. Everyone should do their part. As a musician, I should also use music to convey positive energy.”
