Marina Romeyko
Marina Romeyko (1981) was born in Minsk, Belarus. She began piano lessons at the age of six with Elena Soboleva and later with Evgeniy Pukst at the Republican Music College in Minsk. After graduating with honours from Music College (2000), she commenced her studies with Prof. Noel Flores at the Vienna University for Music and Performing Arts. From 2005 until her graduation with Master’s degree in 2009 she was instructed by Prof. Stefan Vladar. Her artistic development has been strongly influenced by master classes and individual lessons with renowned musicians such as Leif Ove Andsnes, Oleg Maisenberg, Steven Isserlis, Altenberg Trio, Julian Rachlin, Yuri Bashmet and others.
Marina Romeyko is the laureate and the prizewinner of international piano competitions and festivals (“1st International Piano Competition” (Brest), “Premi рrincipat d’Andorra” (Andorra), “Bluethner Golden Tone Award” (Vienna)). She received award from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus. As a concert pianist and chamber musician Marina Romeyko performs a lot in her home country as well as abroad. She has regular appearances at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Concert Hall and is frequently invited to the international music festivals. She also performed at the renowned Vienna Musikverein and at the Vienna Konzerthaus. Marina Romeyko is a dedicated concert pianist and chamber musician. She also plays organ and cembalo.
