Kwan Yee Lim
Born in 2003, Kwan Yee Lim started her piano lessons at the age of five. She has been actively involved in performing and has performed Medtner Piano Concerto No.1 and Chopin Piano Concerto No.1 with Malaysia Philharmonic Youth Orchestra under Maestro Naohisa Furusawa.
Kwan Yee has won numerous international awards, including a Platinum First Prize in the Canadian International Music Competition, 2nd Prize in VI Odin International Music Competition and Gold Prize in Global International Music Competition. She also won the Platinum Prize and Chopin Prize in the 1st Joyeux Music International Festival and Competition for Young Pianists 2021, a Crystal Award and Silver Award in both solo and concerto category in London Youth Piano Competition, a Grand Prize in the International Youth Music Competition.
In 2022, she won a First Prize in Orbetello International Piano Competition and a Second Prize in Rocky Mountain International Music Competition. Recently, she won the Gold Prize, Grand Prize and Artist Awards in Universal Stars Music Competition.
She has participated in masterclasses with Andrew Ball, Anthony Hewitt, Murray McLachlan, Lluis Rodriguez Salva, Sun Yu Wen, Akiko Danis and Misa Yamamoto, to name a few.
