Kellyann Spiteri
Kellyann Spiteri was born in Malta in 2007. She started playing the piano at the age of 9. Within a span of four years, by age 13, she achieved the Diploma of the London College of Music, DipLCM in Performance. A year later, she achieved her ALCM in Performance Diploma, scoring full marks.
Kellyann’s potential has been noted and praised locally and as a result she was awarded scholarships and opportunities, both locally and abroad, including UK, Wales, Czech Republic, and Austria. She has attended numerous masterclasses with renown professors, including Lulu Yang, Ashley Wass, Giuliano Mazzocante, Gabi Sultana, Christine Zerafa, and Charlene Farrugia, amongst others.
Kellyann regularly carries out piano accompaniment for ensembles, choirs and music students. She has performed locally and abroad in prestigious venues, including the Manoel Theatre and The Stoller Hall, and in various notorious events, such as the Malta Spring Festival, and the Victoria International Arts Festival. She was selected to be the Malta Youth Orchestra’s pianist for three consecutive seasons. Kellyann achieved great results in the various local as well as international music competitions she participated in over the years.
Kellyann is a music tutor at a local piano academy while also furthering her music studies and is keen on issues directly related to the environment, especially on the impacts of climate change and the negative impact it has on us all and on future generations. The Passions for our Tortured Planet is an innovative project that combines the need for more environmental consciousness with the power of music and she is happy to be part of this initiative.
